We're having a birthday party tomorrow! Joe is turning three on Monday and we're celebrating with family tomorrow. It's gonna be hard watching not thinking about how our "baby" is growing up, but Joe is really excited about his party. I'm not sure if he's more excited about his cousins coming down or eating hot dogs. Ahh little boys. :)

In other news, church softball season is in full swing. Julie finally got to play in a game last night, after having to miss the first two games. It was beautiful weather, and we won! Christopher has played in four games now. They're 2-2. He had an awesome catch on Tuesday. Right at the fence! Julie screamed so loud, Christopher said he could hear her all the way from the outfield. :)

Also, if you all could keep Julie in your prayers. She had all four of her wisdom teeth taken out last Thursday. We thought she was healing up pretty good since she got around so quickly after the surgery, but she's still had quite a bit of pain this last week. She went to the oral surgeon again this morning and he said that she had developed dry sockets in her bottom two incisions. Although, she must have a high pain tolerance because he said they were almost healed. He put in some medicated gauze (which tastes like black licorice, Yuck!) and she goes back in on Monday to have the dressing changed. Thankfully this is going to cost us anything extra. Praise God!

We will post again with pictures from the party. I'm sure there will be some good ones of Joe eating his cake.

Whew!

Joe has had a very busy day today. What has he done you ask? Well, after I got him up he promptly asked for eggs and toast. Which I was happy to give him. Halfway through breakfast, while I was talking to my Mom on the phone, Joe decided that it was time for an Oreo. So, he got a chair, climbed up on the counter, and before I could get it away from him, already had half of the cookie gone. After breakfast he decided that he didn't want to use the light switch to turn on his light. Rather he needed to climb up on his dresser to get to the actual light. This light is actually more like a lantern. So yes, it is all made out of glass. It was a nice lamp. All of a sudden I heard a loud crash and a cry from Joe. I run in his room to find the dresser on top of him (thankfully most of it had landed on his four wheeler) and the the contents of the dresser as well as the lamp scattered on the floor. Thankfully he wasn't hurt at all; not a scratch. But the lamp wasn't so lucky.

Later, I'm going to clean the glass out of the carpet and I'm going to put the hose in the vacuum. But, alas, I cannot. For there are about 8 AA batteries stuck in the hole where the hose goes. Now, I know you're thinking how did they get in there? Well, I have one word for you..... Joseph. Apparently he has been more mischievous than I even knew. I put him in the corner and successfully get out all of the batteries. Now, I am back in the bedroom cleaning up the glass. When I hear, "Mommy, I peed in my pants!" Great! So, I turn off the vacuum and assist my son in removing his soiled clothes.

Don't worry. The glass and pee :) are all cleaned up, the clothes are being washed, the vacuum is Ok, and I have recovered. Sometimes having a two year old (almost three) can be exhausting. And sometimes it is comical. I am choosing to let this be comical, which is why I wanted to share it with all of you. Hope it brought a smile to your face. :)

Pics

We did take a couple of pictures at the hospital. Actually, Joseph took most of them. So I thought I would show you a couple of them.

The nurses gave me warm blankets. Man they felt so good.

Mom not wanting to see what Dad's doing.

Joe trying to be good.

Joe took this one.

And this one.

"Joe move your finger out of the way."

This is how she normally looks. :) Love you Mom.

Still feeling good.

My dad took this picture without looking in the view finder. Pretty good!

Going off to surgery. That's me, always at the height of fashion. :)

I do have a follow up doctors appointment this Friday. Since they didn't find any endometrial cells during the surgery it kind of means we're back at square one as far as a diagnosis goes. I really do appreciate all of the prayers so far. But, I would like to ask you to keep praying for my recovery. It is taking longer than I thought it should. I'm really trying not to get discouraged and just take it one day at a time. But when I'm missing out on all of the fun stuff, that is easier said than done. And thank you to all of those who brought over food and visited with me. That was a huge blessing.

Surgery update

Well Julie is recovering very well and thanks to all for your prayers. We have been surrounded by wonderful friends who have brought us meals and who called to say we are praying for us.

Now concerning Julie's health, she still isn't moving around a lot she is feeling much better. She is still in some pain but the doctor said it will be about a 3-7 days before it subsides. This coming Friday, Julie has her post surgery appointment and we will talk to the Doctor about where to go from here. You see her surgery was both good and bad. The good news is that the Doctor did not find anything and the bad news is that the doctor did not find anything. We were under the impression that Julie had endometriosis but the laproscopic surgery did not reveal any endometrial cells. The Doctor did tell me that there were a few things that he found that could be causing Julie pain but i wont elaborate on the details. We are hoping for more good news at this next doctors appointment. Thanks again for everyone who prayed for us.
